FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Congratulations to National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare celebrating 25 years of advocacy for older Americans and their families.

Greenwich, Conn. - June 12, 2008: The National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare (www.ncpssm.org) was founded in 1982 by former Congressman James Roosevelt, the oldest son of President Franklin D. Roosevelt who signed the Social Security Act into law.

The National Committee is the nation’s #1 group fighting to protect Social Security and Medicare.  The mission of the National Committee is to protect, preserve, promote and ensure the financial security, health and well being of current and future generations of Americans.

This extremely active organization includes members and supporters interested in securing the long-term benefits of Social Security and Medicare. These active senior citizens have responded to a direct mail appeal requesting donations and petition signers to preserve Social Security and Medicare benefits. Petition Signers have not donated any money but are available for rental.

These senior citizens have discretionary incomes and are ideal prospects for health-related and religious fundraisers as well as environmental and cultural memberships, collectibles, travel, publishers, insurance and catalogs.  This file has also proven to be successful for a wide variety of liberal and primarily Democratic causes.

Enhanced files also available!
